Balls Drop at Meatball Joint on Monday

Beware of ball puns as The Meatball Joint on South Beach is set to open this Monday. Thrillist has a first look at the new addition to chef Bernie Matz's stable of South Beach restaurants, joining Bernie's Latin American Cafe and Book & Books. The meatball menu features three options: "Classic Italian", a beef and pork mixture, "South Beach", a turkey mixture, and "West Hollywood", a veg mixture. After that, eaters have a plethora of options to customize their meatballs choosing from sauces to sides to breads. The old King Kone space has been outfitted to a "cozy, mirror/subway-tile walled, butcher shop-ish spot." Outside of food, the Meatball Joint works to their slogan of "Beer. Wine. Balls." with a solid beverage list featuring around 10 different bottles of vino and over 20 beers, both bottled and on top. The Meatball Joint will be open from noon to midnight.
