Miami veteran chef Douglas Rodriguez has had a long career rooted in Miami, from opening his first restaurant, Wet Paint Cafe on Lincoln road, at the age of 21 to spreading his nuevo latina cuisine all over the United States. Rodriguez told Food GPS about some of the challenges when he started out: "I think the first one was the game changer. It made people look at Latin cuisine in a white tablecloth environment."
