Changing of The Guard at db Bistro Moderne

Jarrod Verbiak, current executive chef of db Bistro Moderne in the JW Marriott Marquis, is leaving Miami, and the United States, to be closer to family in Beijing. A James Beard semifinalist this year, Verbiak will remain in the Daniel Boulud empire, returning to work at Maison Boulud in China. In his place, Boulud has named former sous chef and fellow Frenchman Matthieu Godard as the new executive chef, slated to take over June 15.
