Global Street Food Blooming in Wynwood Tonight

After tinkering for over a year, owners Jose Miguel Sarti and Sebastian Stahl are opening the doors tonight to their Wynwood restaurant, Bloom. Former Nobu chef Ricky Sauri is in charge of the kitchen, crafting a small plates menu, priced from $8 to $15, that puts a high end spin on Asian and Latin American street food. Looking to accent bold flavors from Guatemala to Vietnam, the kitchen turns out dishes such as a pork belly kakuni with mirasol sauce and taro root congee; a reina pepiada with shredded duck, tamarind sauce, crispy avacado, and kwepie; and cuajitos with creole hog tripe and corn tamale. With white washed walls adorned with the floral photography of owner Jose Miguel, Bloom's decor focuses on bold touches throughout the restaurant's three dining areas (outdoor & indoor dining room, open-air bar). Bloom is open for dinner every evening at 5 p.m.
