Pretty Sure Thomas Jefferson Never Ate This Well: Miami's Best for The Fourth

New, 3 comments

July 4th hitting on Wednesday shouldn't keep you from getting all you can out of the holiday. Along with plenty of places to see fireworks, Miami has plenty of places to feast on barbecue if you're not already firing up your own grill. Check out some of the options:

· Yardbird Southern Table & Bar
Where: 1600 Lenox Avenue
What: Executive chef Jeff McInnis and the folks at Yardbird are throwing down an Independence Day Barbecue on Wednesday featuring a char-grilled free range chicken feast ($24 for half bird/$48 for fullbird) with all the summer sides: fingerling potato salad, gulf shrimp "cole slaw", grilled corn on the cob, barbeque baked beans and corn bread. The specialty libations for the celebration are a red raspberry bourbon sour, white peach ginger sling and a blueberry balsamic breeze. The finishing touch is a red, white and blue ice cream cake.
