After 19 Years, David's Cafe II to Shutter Monday Morning

South Beach stalwart David's Cafe II off of Lincoln Road will shut down early Monday morning after 19 years of serving up late night Cuban eats. Owner Adrian Gonzalez was forced to close the doors after the building owner increased the rent to what he believed was "fair market value". While the original David's Cafe continues on the tradition of early morning cafe con leches and Cuban sandwiches at 1058 Collins Avenue, Gonzalez remains optimistic, insisting: "be on the look out for more David's Cafe's coming in the near future."
