'CaliFOIEnia' Wine Dinner at Blue Collar Announced; 'Guess the Grape' at Yardbird

SOUTH BEACH - Yardbird is egging on some friendly competition tomorrow night starting at 7 p.m. with a "Guess the Grape" wine tasting. Competitors (entry is $15) can show off their wine palate by guessing the grape of five different varietals, wines and pours, with the winner taking home a grand prize. [EaterWire]

FOIE - Chef Danny Serfer of Blue Collar has announced August 22 as the date for his next exclusive wine dinner, a $95 five course feast with all dishes focused on foie gras and paired with wine by Allegra Angelo. The menu for the "CaliFOIEnia" wine dinner features a foie onion soup, frisee salad with warm foie vinaigrette, scallop and foie paella, crispy skin duck breast with foie gras beurre rouge, and carnival dessert.
