Food Truck Meet-Up; A Night of Fire and Ice

DOWNTOWNTonight marks the kick-off for Bayfront Nights, where food trucks will gather every Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Bayfront Park. Running through the end of the summer, this is a family-friendly food truck meet up with ample space for bringing a blanket and lounging. The evening also features a DJ spinning tunes and next week will have a cash bar. Tonight's truckers are: Latin Burger, Ms Cheezious, Dim Ssam a GoGo, GastroPod, Jefe's Original Fish Taco & Burgers, Health Nut, Dolci Pecatti, and Gypsy Kitchen. [Short Order]

KEY BISCAYNE— Friday night Cantina Beach at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne hosts Fire and Ice. From 7 to 10 p.m., the Mexican fiesta will feature complimentary Maestro Dobel margarita tastings to keep things cool and guacamole bites, along with $12 specialty-priced cocktails and Chef Andre Parlange’s Tacos Arabes culinary display. Resident DJ will be turning up the heat with some beats during a captivating Fire and Ice performance under the stars. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN— On Labor Day, Monday September 3rd, Mercadito will open specially for brunch. Starting at 11:30a.m., diners can savor a variety of their Mexican brunch dishes not usually available on Mondays like Chilaquiles or Huevos Rancheros.
