Alright Miami restaurant enthusiasts, it's time to saddle up and kick it into high gear as there is just a little more than a week left of Miami Spice. Make that nine days to be exact: a full work week and two weekends. Here, Eater has a roundup of the Spice steals and deals and an agenda for your next week. If you haven't reserved a table at one of these yet, it's definitely worth it before this wonderful time of year comes to an end next Sunday, September 30.
Sunday: Head to Hakkasan between noon and 2:45p.m. for their Dim Sum Lunch. For $23 you get a Jasmine tea set, choice of Dim Sum or Barbecued combo, choice of one main, one side of wok-fried shredded duck with noodles, and a choice of dessert. Plus, the valet is discounted to $12.
Monday: This is a great opportunity to try some of Zuma's offerings without dropping significant cash, which can be easy to do here. Their $39 dinner menu includes a choice of two appetizers like beef skewers or scallop and prawn gyoza, an entree, and a dessert.
Tuesday: Definitely a steal, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar has a four-course prix fixe for $33. Enjoy a choice of soup, a small dish like the Pork Belly or Bok Choy Salteado, an entree, and a dessert. Portions are not skimped out on here, so sharing with your partner is easy and you'll both get to try a variety of dishes.
Wednesday: Get a group together for a meal at Asia de Cuba inside the gorgeous Mondrian hotel, as this Spice menu does not limit the number in your party and serves the menu family style. The $39 dinner provides a starter, an entree, a side, and chef's selection of a dessert. Come hungry- the portions here are full-sized, so you're definitely getting a bang for your buck.
Thursday: Take your taste buds over to Pubbelly for their dinner menu of small, shared plates. $33 will get you three starters, two varieties of dumplings, two choices of pork dishes, one veggie side, and a dessert.
Friday: Celebrate the end of the work week with Mercadito's deal of a Spice dinner. The $33 menu is another that encourages sharing, except for the Pepino- that's all yours. It includes one drink per person, and for the table: one order of guacamole, a ceviche or botana, three tacos, a side, and a dessert.
Saturday: Now that it's not as disgustingly hot out as it was in August, outdoor dining is a much more viable option. And the fact that La Côte at the Fontainebleau is the hotel's only restaurant offering Spice on a Saturday makes it even better. Choose from an appetizer, entree, and dessert off their $39 menu of exquisitely fresh French Riviera cuisine. Valet is also discounted at $12 so you can stay and get your Saturday Night Fever on afterwards.
Sunday: Close out the week and the end of Spice at BLT Steak at the Betsy. Their $39 menu includes an appetizer, entree, side, and dessert. Treat yourself after a long week of dedicated Spicing to the three-course Sommelier Selections wine pairing for an extra $25. BLT also has its own little freebie additions: you'll get their legendary Gruyere popovers and chicken liver pâté upon seating, and their sweet, house-made madeleines at meal's end.
Well, there it is. The week is already organized for you, now make those reservations and get out there comrades! Happy Spicing!
