Michael Schwartz Opening The Cypress Room Next Year

It's been confirmed by Miami.com that Miami favorite restaurateur/chef Michael Schwartz and his team will be extending their reach even further to take over the former W Wine Bistro space on 36 and Northeast 2nd Avenue. The Genuine Hospitality Group announced the new restaurant will open in 2013 and be called The Cypress Room. It will be "an upscale, genuine American tavern to complement Michael's fresh, simple and pure farm-to-table approach" at his other successful establishments in the Design District: Michael's Genuine Food & Drink and Harry's Pizzeria. And with his new venture at The Raleigh hotel (though no word on the expected opening of that yet), this makes The Cypress Room his fourth restaurant. If it's anything like his others, it's sure to be great and gather a following.
