Jeffrey Chodorow Bringing Biscayne Tavern to Downtown

jeffreychodorow.jpgWell it looks like Jeffrey Chodorow, international restaurateur of China Grill Management restaurants like China Grill and Asia de Cuba at the Mondrian is up to something new. He's taking a step away from the Asian fusion stuff and bringing Biscayne Tavern to a new, upcoming hotel at Biscayne Boulevard called b2 miami downtown. The casual neighborhood spot right near the AAA will be on the lobby level of the hotel, serving over 30 kinds of craft beers, with 16 on tap and a changing variety of seasonal brews. What sounds like a kick back and relax kind of place, the Tavern will have sustainable, organic comfort food in the way of small plates, salads, sliders, and pastas. Some of the menu items include Oyster Po-Boys, Short Rib Pot Roast with Truffle Popovers, and a South Florida Bouillabaisse. The hotel is taking reservations for stays starting March 1, so the restaurant should be open shortly before or after that.
