Gigi has a new neighbor: George. Midtown is getting the third installation from French restaurateur George-Eric Farge, who opened George's South Miami and Coconut Grove. He's expanded his realm to the always-bustling Midtown neighborhood with a slightly more upscale version as George's Kitchen and The Loft. The bi-level space features an open-air kitchen with Michelin-starred Executive Chef Steven Rojas at the helm. Rojas and Farge have combined forces to put a Spanish twist on the French fare with dishes like comté cheese croquettes, hamachi crudo, roasted côte de bœuf to share, and a diver scallop and grilled pork cheek duo. Head upstairs to The Loft for a drink or a bite as the lounge has a full bar and tapas menu, open from 4p.m. to late night. George's Kitchen is just open for dinner now, but in a month will start to launch a brunch and lunch menu.
