The Pubbelly empire has unleashed two new spots on Miami since the new year started, in under ten days. That's more than most restaurateurs open in one year alone. First came Barceloneta's second location in South Miami last week, and now this week we have PB Steak. Officially open on Thursday, January 10, this is Pubbelly's spin on a steakhouse for locals on the beach. Pubbelly boys Andreas Schreiner, Jose Mendín, and Sergio Navarro took over the former Joe Allen/Morgan's/Georgia's Union location on Purdy Avenue and created an open space with a wood beam ceiling, huge chalkboards on the walls with the menu etched on, long black leather banquettes and wooden chairs and tables. It's got a no-fuss feel to it, and same goes for the menu. There's Pubbelly's signature style of savory small plates, in addition to a raw bar, salads, sides, and yes, meaty steaks. Way to kick off 2013 on the right hoof, boys.
