Joe's Stone Crab, the venerable family-owned Miami institution will reopen on October 15 as it does every year. But this reopening is especially significant as it marks the restaurant's 100th anniversary. Though the restaurant has changed over the last century—they've expanded, the staff has grown, the menu has evolved—they're still in the exact same location and 60 - 65 percent of their sales are still stone crabs. GM Brian Johnson tells Eater the notoriously low-key family is going to celebrate it in typical Joe's fashion—by opening for business as usual.
