More Loungy Baru Urbano to Open in Midtown; UPDATE

As announced previously, Baru Urbano will be expanding to the former Ricochet Bar & Lounge spot in Midtown. This Baru's a little different though; according to their PR rep, it'll be more bar/lounge than restaurant, with a different menu (only appetizers, ceviches and desserts). Unlike their other outposts, the Midtown locale will be opening at 4 p.m. and won't be offering lunch. Décor's unique as well. The team behind Baru, Nicolás Hoyos and local entrepreneur Hector Antunez, commissioned various artists, including local artist Alex Mijares, to bring Midtown's street art to the interior walls of Baru. The restaurant/bar's third location will be officially opening this Friday, October 25, with a grand opening party to be scheduled later.

Update: The opening for this location has been re-scheduled for next Friday, November 1.
