State officials report that Florida food banks will remain stocked through the end of the month in spite of last week's government shutdown. When the US Department of Agriculture closed its doors a week ago, the flow of federal funding for our food banks and canned good distributors was cut off, but supplies are estimated to last through mid-November. —Travis Cohen [MH]
