FORT LAUDERDALE— The Atlantic Resort and Spa's restaurant East End Brasserie in Fort Lauderdale switched to a farm-to-table concept after their traditional French fare was no longer working. Food and beverage manager Lydia says many tourists are European and are looking for an American dining experience, not a European one. Menu options include okra tempura, gulf coast black grouper with cippolini onion confit, rainbow chard, and smoked cheddar-andouille grit cake; and grilled ancho rubbed double center cut pork chop with ginger orange blossom honey glaze, pecan wood smoked bacon, smoked cheddar potato cake, and rainbow chard. WYNWOODWynwood Brewing Company will open its tap room this Saturday at 5 p.m. They'll serve pints for $5 and flights of beer for $6 - 8. [SO]
