Nik Mebane is Brewmaster at Wynwood Brewing

Wynwood Brewing Company has just acquired a new brewmaster named Nik Mebane. According to a press release, the brewmaster comes on board with almost a decade of experience in the beer biz including a short stint at the recently closed Gordon Biersch on Brickell. Mebane also spent nine years at Otto's, a small brewery in Pennsylvania, time during which he grew the "700 barrel craft brewery to a 4,000 one".

Needless to say, the crew at Wynwood Brewing is happy to have him. "His extensive experience with Otto's – bringing it from a small craft brewery to what it is now – assures us he was the best choice for our brewery," say founder Luis Brignoni. WBC's tasting room is now scheduled for a "permanent opening" on December 4.
