Apparently there've been some delays in the world of the mysterious Buns & Buns, a restaurant originally slated for an August opening (then December), but the new South Miami spot is still full speed ahead, making progress and now geared toward a January opening. In addition to new opening dates, more details about dishes have emerged in a press release, which states that the menu will be "globally-dynamic" with a focus on freshly baked breads, handcrafted sauces and spices, meats, and vegetable and seafood dishes. Think items like pan roasted chili shrimp ($15), steamed mussels ($10) and lighter options like burrata salad ($10) inspired by the chefs' (who remain undercover) travels around the world. Buns & Buns will be open daily for lunch and dinner. Stay tuned.
