Seafood Dinner at Bocce; The Butcher Shop Reviewed

MIDTOWN – strong>Bocce Bar in Midtown is kicking off its recent opening by getting straight into the holiday spirit and hosting the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. Short Order reports the restaurant will pay homage to the tradition with an eight-course seafood dinner available for $80 per person (and $110 with wine pairings). Fish-opposed can dig into Bocce's regular offerings, which is also available on Christmas Day, instead. [SO]

WYNWOOD - Short Order's Emily Codik pretty shamelessly bashes The Butcher Shop in her latest review. She praises the chicken wings and a rib eye, but as far as the of the food was concerned, says, "[s]omehow, it was both loaded with fat and tasteless -- a difficult achievement, indeed." And adding fuel to the fire, the last thing Codik notes is that although the meal was comped, her and her guest "just ate cold cereal at home for dinner instead." [SO]
