Along with the opening of Marriott's Edition Hotel in Miami Beach comes a new restaurant from renowned chef and brain behind the J&G Grill at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The Miami Herald reports that the spot will be an "upscale-but-modern" eatery that Vongerichten refers to as the "chic and glamorous ? Matador Room". Vongerichten and hotelier Ian Schrager, his partner behind the Edition Hotel and its new restaurant, hope to have their new place open sometime early 2014, but for now what will be the rebirth of the former Seville Beach Hotel is still under construction. In addition to the restaurant, the duo plans for the "lower-level" of the hotel to be a "grab-and-go food court with a deli, bakery, hot kitchen and raw bar". [MiamiHerald]
