Chef Michael Shikany, formerly of Sushi Samba, Ortanique and La Cofradia, is opening up a restaurant in Wynwood named Shikany. Plans are for the space to serve not only as a restaurant, but also as an event area and a cooking school, where a "series of cooking classes", ranging from "Indian to Southeast Asian Cuisine", will be held.
Shikany's concept is for dinners to be comprised of all small plates, priced between $60 and $175, which "will reflect global cuisine". Shikany's namesake will be open "four nights a week, Thursday through Saturday", once the place is up and running sometime late summer. Check out Short Order's interview with the chef for more details on the upcoming restaurant its location. [SO]
