DOWNTOWN - The Federal will be hosting their "Chat With the Wine Maker" series Thursday on February 7 at 7 p.m. Viticulturist (he who cultivates the grapes) James Ontiveros and winemaker Paul Wilkins from Alta Maria Vineyards in California will talk about "what it really means to be an artisan". But it won't be all class and no games. Naturally, drinking will be a part of the learning process and so, there will be three wines to try, each one paired with a small snack by the James and Paul. Tickets, which are $32, can be reserved here. [EaterWire]
