A new addition is coming to the edible world on 87 and SW 8th St. in the Brickell area: Stanzione 87.
The spot is owned by Franco Stanzione, a 23 year-old New York transplant who has been making pizza for the last 10 years. Stanzione previously worked at Forcella in New York under the tutelage of Giulio Adriani and recently decided to open his own pizzeria. The spot will be focused on "Neapolitan-style" pizza, with as many Italian-imported products as possible as well as certified pizza makers from Naples, Italy. According to Stanzione, who is also the chef, they'll be cooking up light and crisp pizzas in under a minute, plus serving an impressive list of Italian craft beers and wines. Stanzione 87 plans to be open by the end of March.
