Emily Codik gives David Bracha's Oak Tavern a thorough review, saying "nowhere else in the city is there such a concentration of skilled kitchen work" as in the Design District, where eateries like MC Kitchen and Michael's Genuine Food & Drink are located. The only thing that didn't seem to work for her was an at times "excessive use of oil" in the cooking. Overall she says the stylish and comfortable spot serves "delectable homespun dishes". [SO]
