Chef Sam Gorenstein and his partner Roger Duarte, founder and president of George Stone Crab, plan to open their second outpost of the popular My Ceviche in Brickell. The date isn't set in stone yet, but word is that it will be mid to late March. Plans are for the new spot to be larger, with better seating options (specifically 900 square feet with a 32-seat indoor/outdoor area). Chef Gorenstein says, "We are simply elated to be opening our second location in this bustling neighborhood". My Ceviche will be located at 1250 South Miami Ave., and will be joining the other kids on the block (OTC, that has already made Mary Brickell Village the new hotspot, and newly opened Temaris).
As per who will be manning the kitchen, Tomas Prado, who's already worked the kitchens of The Bazaar, Café Boulud, and db Bistro Moderne will take over as My Ceviche's executive chef. The menu will have the same options as My Ceviche's Miami Beach location with the addition of the new Ceviche Bowl for $9.95. Otherwise more of the same, healthy, affordable seafood options are to be expected. Also, in April, My Ceviche will begin delivery services, but if you do want to drop in, the spot will be open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. [SO]
