Today as of 5 p.m. Jamie DeRosa and partner Michael Reginbogin's Tongue & Cheek is officially open. The new SoBe spot will be serving up "Contemporary American" dishes "inspired by chef DeRosa's travels". That means fried clams will be on the menu, suckling pig, fried chicken, and a special limited burger. To hit your sweet spot, they'll be offering "childhood favorites" like Cracker Jack milkshakes "with house-made Baby Ruths".
Prices range from $5 to $15 (for snacks), $9 to $18 (for appetizers) and $20 to $30 (main courses). This unless you want the "family meal", which will be served every night from 5 to 7 p.m. and consists of "the same food Tongue & Cheek staff eats before their shift starts" (served for $10).
Tongue & Cheek will be open daily for snacks and dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and till 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Lunch is coming soon, but meanwhile (and after), you can take delight in the fact that they've already rolled out their Happy Hour ($4 craft beers, $8 signature cocktails).
