Thrillist reports that Barezzito, a new late-night sushi joint, is getting ready to open up in South Beach on the corner of Collins and 20th. The restaurant's Facebook makes many mentions of opening soon. In fact, an official opening was set for March, but it seems they are delayed, though not by too much as their last comment (this past Sunday) says, "see you in a couple of weeks". This will be their 19th location and with all 18 of its other locations in Mexico, their first U.S. outpost.
As far as food, you can expect a "Japanese/Latin fusion menu" that includes items such as the Honeymoon roll, the Mojito roll and Churrasco steak.
Short Order reported a while back that in addition to being a restaurant, the spot will also serve as a "music venue, featuring a stage and DJ booth". In an interview with SO, Antar Sosa, the co-owner, says they want to be an affordable place, but not a cheap one and that "there'll always be a special, you'll be able to get something that works out for your budget". Once they're ready for business, they'll be open Thursday through Sunday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
