Wok Town's second location is officially open on Alton Road. According to Short Order, the two locations are very similar, with Wok Town's Miami Beach menu identical to the Downtown one. And in keeping with their "focus on nutrition". both spots have just recently added "health-oriented options" such as the Teriyaki salmon salad and skirt steak salad.
Having just opened their second outpost, owners Daniel Venegas and Jose More are already talking further expansions. The modern and "Americanized" Chinese eatery was such a success at its first location that Venegas and More think the concept will fare well as a franchise. Venegas says the restaurant is different from "other Chinese joints around", it's "more like an American version of Chinese food" and it's "healthier than traditional Chinese restaurants" and that's what makes it work. For now, plans are for Wok Town to expand throughout Miami-Dade, possibly the South Miami and Aventura areas, with one more restaurant to open "at the end of the year".
