MIDTOWN – April 15 means Tax Day and Mercadito is offering a deal. Stop by the restaurant on that day and your ordinarily $9.50 Guacamole will cost you only a clever $4.15. Promotion's available all day (if you can prove you've filed your taxes, that is).

SUNNY ISLES – Solé on the Ocean will be hosting a Reggae Beach Bowl concert this Saturday, April 13. Party runs from 2 to 9 p.m. and includes a live performance by Junior Marvin and One Love. Alba's executive chef Ralph Pagano will be delivering the food goods, namely "island favorites" like jerk chicken and pork. [EaterWire]

MIAMI BEACH – There's a new menu at the Freehand's Broken Shaker that'll be changing "about twice weekly" like the spot's cocktail menu. Plates, which are made to share and use fresh locally sourced ingredients, include Berkshire pork (from newly opened Proper Sausages) and brown ale ($8) and Atlantic Cod with potato batter and malt vinegar ($8).
