All the latest neighborhood and real estate news from Curbed Miami...

1) Surfside: The saga of the historic Surf Club continues. Possibly because they want to do a project worthy of the building's great history (Winston Churchill painted watercolors in his cabana there, etc. etc.) the developers have decided to bring out the architectural big guns and signed on starchitect Richard Meier to the job. He'll be working with local design-dude Kobi Karp.

2) Virginia Key: The iconic Miami Marine Stadium, a futuristic architectural marvel that's currently Miami's coolest ruin, has a big, big name backing its restoration: Gloria Estefan. Curbed Miami's one-blog-campaign to get her to do a revival concert there begins now.

3) Bayfront Park: The winners of the Landmark Miami ideas competition have proposed a rather interesting piece of architecture for Miami's Bayfront Park: a giant, Paul Bunyan sized ski ramp that has not been a particular favorite amongst Curbed Miami's commenters. One reader thought it looked like "a horrible shipping accident."
