The Early Word on Juana M. in Brickell

About a month ago, Brickell got a new Argentinian spot called Juana M. The trio of siblings/owners (Juana Marty, Maria Marty and Rogelio Marty) who've so far opened up two other restaurants in Argentina are already looking to further expand their restaurant throughout the states, but meanwhile they're serving up some Argentinian steaks, homemade pastas and salads at their brickell spot. Though they've been open for a while, they still seem to be pretty off the radar, with very few reviews. Here's what people are saying so far:

Excellent news: One Yelper calls this an "excellent new Argentine restaurant". He says one of the highlights is the salad bar, which "had many items and was extremely fresh". Service wise, "friendly"; and in terms of "décor and atmosphere", "very nice". [Yelp]

Good news: Another reviewer on Yelp says she was "pleasantly surprised". However, she thinks the location of the restaurant is "doomed" because it is hidden behind Sushi Siam. She also notes that the space is "huge" and "IKEA chic" and that the highlight of her trip there was the food. [Yelp]

Poor news: One commenter on Yelp says, " this was the worst dining experience I've ever had" and that every dish came out wrong. However, she mentions that owner Juana did apologies for "how awful everything was" and comped the whole meal for her table of nine. [Yelp]

Hopeful news: Another Yelper says the spot is "classy", with "none of that Brickell wannabe vibe" and that the ambience was "fantastic". She had "mixed feelings" about the service though and said that the staff was "sweet", but "clueless". Food wise, the steak was "cooked to perfection", but other dishes were found lacking. She says, "fingers crossed that they get their act together because I want them to last" and that they have the potential to be "the next big thing in Brickell". [Yelp]
