Turns out that Toasted Bagelry spot we noticed some time ago is actually called Toasted Bagel Company and will be opening up in just two weeks. Short Order reports that the bagel shop is owned by Egyptian brothers Khalid and Islam Mohammed, who previously owned bagelries in New York and Jersey for the last 14 years. Khalid says they'll be making bagels "the old-fashioned way, with old-fashioned ingredients: malt, conditioner and sponge", and confidently claims, "New York ain't got nothing on us". Their new deli will offer around 12 to 14 different types of "all homemade" bagels daily. Other than that, they'll also be serving soups, salads, waffles, croissants, pancakes, cookies and iced coffees. Price wise, Khalid says people can expect to pay under $10 for a bagel and a drink.
