After chef Philippe Ruiz left the Biltmore's popular Palme d'Or, word got out that he'd be opening a new restaurant at the Brickell World Plaza, called Restaurant Du Cap. Miami.com reported back in April 2012 that the spot would be "an entirely unique up-tempo French restaurant", that would make its debut November 1.
However, it seems the plans have changed completely. Now, according to Miamirankings.com, the "original company that was formed (Restaurant Du Cap, LLC) has recently changed its name to Lippi Restaurants, LLC". He also notes that they've begun hiring on Craigslist and that their GM is a man named Paul Radu, who previously worked with the St. Regis in Bal Harbour. Stay tuned for more details.
