Last night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2013 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards, and Miami's Juvia was on that list. With its architecturally delightful, 10,000 square foot penthouse space designed by Alejandro Barrios Carrera, a vertical rainforest-inspired garden created by internationally acclaimed botanist Patrick Blanc and an absolutely killer view of the city, Juvia took home its win in the Restaurant Design and Graphics category. A huge congrats to Juvia and their team for receiving "the highest honor for food and beverage professionals". As for the other Miami JBFA finalists, here's hoping they make it next year. For the full list of this year's winners, head over to Eater National.
