About a month ago, restaurateur brothers Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani opened what marked their 20th expansion, Cipriani Downtown. The stylish Italian eatery that boasts an 8,000 square foot space, nautical décor, and a two-floor indoor/outdoor dining area is supposed to be similar to their other successful eateries. So far, here's how people think it's holding up:

The Spectacular News: A reviewer on Yelp says that "walking into Cipriani Brickell starts with one word: spectacular". She praises the "elegant" space, "sweeping views of Bisycane Bay" and the prompt and "polite" service. Of the managers and "attentive staff" she says, "they mean business". [Yelp]

The Amazing News: Another Yelper says her experience was "simply amazing" and that "from the service to the ambience this place deserves a ten". She says, "the service is stellar, the food incredible and the bellinis of course are to die for" and adds, "Miami has the flavor of NYC here". [Yelp]

The Disappointing News: One commenter on Yelp says she was "very disappointed" with her experience. She says her and her guests were ignored by the employees and had to wait a very long time to be seated even though they had a reservation. However, she does note that "the food was very good". [Yelp]

The Good News: Another reviewer on Yelp describes Cipriani as a place that is "all about old-world elegance and charm". She also notes that "the service is as impeccable as the food" and that "Cipriani has few, if any, rivals in Brickell and will likely be a new favorite for the discerning, upwardly mobile young professionals of the neighborhood". [Yelp]

The Okay News: A commenter says the décor is "very, very nice" and likes that the spot is ideal for "people watching". He also says that some menu items "really shined" even though the "dinner menu is limited in scope? and prices are quite expensive". He concludes by saying that "even for Miami, this place is quite a scene". [Yelp]
