It seems the iconic Scotty's Landing in Grove Key Marina may, after months of back-and-forth on whether it'll be staying or going, soon be saying goodbye. Things were at a standstill for some time after the City of Miami first requested bids for proposals to change the Coconut Grove waterfront and it was discovered that Scott of Scotty's "was neck deep in unpaid taxes", but once the RFP bidding process was reopened, a proposal came about.
A group called Grove Bay Investment Group released plans for the redevelopment of Grove Key Marina including the removal of local favorites Scotty's Landing and Chart House in favor of other restaurants, shops, park space and the like. Head over to Curbed Miami for more details on the proposal including photos and renderings.
