The Pubbelly boys are at it again and after the successful launch of Pirolo's Panino at Macchialina, they've decided to keep it fresh for the locals. On July 3, they'll be opening up a lunchtime taqueria at PB Steak for the summer, appropriately named Taco Belly.
The Pop-Up taco joint will be open Monday through Thursday from 12 to 4 p.m., during which chef Jose Mendin will be serving up traditional taco-stand flavors mixed with "his signature Pubbelly touch". Small plates range from $3 to $9 and include items like guacamoles and ceviche taquitos. Tacos ($3-$6), made with house-made corn tortillas, will of course be the main attraction, but the taqueria will also offer a variety salads and sandwiches.
