Rum Running at Devon; Gravity Brewlab Meets SuViche

MIAMI BEACH – Yardbird's continuing their Midnight Chef's Table series this weekend with James Beard nominated chef James Petrakis of The Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder in Orlando. He'll be preparing a three-course meal in collaboration with Yardbird's own Jeff McInnis that includes English blood pudding, a lobster hotdog and scotch egg and a grilled lamb heart. [EaterWire]

KENDALL – Devon Seafood & Steak is launching a monthly tasting series on their outdoor patio. They're kicking off the series tomorrow, July 16 (from 7 to 9 p.m.), with a Rum Running & Cigar Rolling event. For $45, guests can pair a variety of rums with passed hors d'oeuvres by chef Scott Barrow and puff away at onsite hand-rolled cigars. [EaterWire]

SOUTH BEACH – SuViche is partnering up with Gravity Brewlab – that's probably enough incentive, but here are details just in case: July 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., SuViche will be accompanying four of their ceviche dishes with four custom Gravity brews. You won't be obliviously imbibing and munching either; Brewlab's founder, Diego Ganoza and SuViche's owner Aliosha Stern, will explain all their pairing decisions.
