New, 1 comment

MIAMI BEACH/CHEF SHUFFLES – In surprising news, Chef Bee of Khong River House has "parted ways" with the restaurant. Apparently, he offered no reason as to why nor is there any news yet on what's to happen at Khong. As far as where chef Bee went, that would be back to Oishi Thai (the restaurant he opened a few years back) full time. [SO]

MIAMI BEACH – Joe's Stone Crab will be temporarily closing for the summer this Sunday. They plan to "reopen around October 15, the start of stone crab season". [SO]

DOWNTOWN – This weekend, July 27 and 28, the InterContinental Hotel is pairing up with the Brazilian Food Festival and throwing a "Brazilian-themed food and drink extravaganza". There will be dishes created by chef Deborah Rosalem (of AB Catering), Bossa Nova music, drinks and one free Caipirinha per person. Tickets are $39 for adults and $19.50 for kids. [EaterWire]
