In case you were wondering why exactly chef Jeff McInnis parted ways with Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, Short Order's got the scoop. McInnis informs them that he "wanted to 'get back to why [he] fell in love with this industry in the first place" and that he wants to "take advantage of this down time and do some staging in a few restaurants around the country". Where Yardbird is concerned, he releases a full statement with "nothing but praise", saying, "Yardbird will always be very special to me, and a place I'll forever call home". Now, he's moved to Northern California, where he's "currently cooking at his friends restaurant, the Hillside Supper Club". [SO]
