Coffee Shop Meets Gallery at the Wynwood Cafe

New, 1 comment

You might not have time to search out every new place that opens up, but we do?or we don't but we're obsessed so we do it anyway. Either way, you win! In our latest discovery, we happened upon Wynwood Café, tucked away inside of The Art Place Wynwood, a gallery in the heart of Miami's ever-evolving arts district. Brainchild of Danilo Gonzalez, owner of said gallery and accomplished artist, this hidden gem hit the scene quietly last week with one goal in mind—that starving artists (or frugal gourmands for that matter) can break their fast without breaking the bank.

Wallet-conscious skeptics beware: Wynwood Café has price points to match its motto; starting at just $2, the selection of sandwiches includes corned beef, prosciutto and veggie; or cups o' joe (read: lattes) for only $2.50. All this within a serene gallery space featuring the work of Gonzalez and other artists. So next time you're strolling down NW 2nd Ave., look for Wynwood Café and kill two birds with one stone—art appreciation and your appetite; they're open 8am - 9pm, Monday – Saturday. Hint: look for the coffee-themed graffiti art?but actually.
