Chef Jacob Anaya Parts Ways With Azul, Goes to OTC

Looks like chef Jacob Anaya has left Azul at Mandarin Oriental, and is taking over at OTC in Brickell. Surprising news since Azul is one of just two (NAOE being the other) Forbes Five-Star rated eateries in Florida.

Even more unanticipated is the rumor going around that Azul might be closing all together. Miami.com reports that when they checked to see whether Anaya was still on Mandarin's website, not only was he nowhere to be found, but neither was Azul. Mandarin's folks tell Miami.com that they plan to re-open Azul after the hotel's "refurbishment", but rumor has it there are other restaurants now looking to take over the space.
