Cocktails at Michy's; Mancini Wine Dinner Series

FORT LAUDERDALE – Mancini Modern Italian is rolling out a series of wine dinners. The first one takes place Thursday, August 15 at 7 p.m. It'll be a five-course meal cooked-up by chef Claudio Sandri and paired with five wine varieties from Folio Fine Wines, a Napa Valley company. ORLANDO – Previous Miami chef Norman Van Aken is celebrating the 10th year anniversary of his Orlando spot, Norman's at the Ritz-Carlton, on August 24. Tickets are a whopping $1,000 per person, but that might be because Aken is bring in "some heavy hitters", namely, Charlie Trotter, Emeril Lagasse, Jeremiah Tower and Dean Fearing.
