Bar Stache to Open in Fort Lauderdale

Photo via Facebook

A new "craft cocktail" spot called Bar Stache is about to hit the Downtown Fort Lauderdale dining scene. Behind it is a man named Mykel Stevens, who's soft-opening Stache with a Glam-A-Thon benefit on September 27. According to Clean Plate Charlie, they won't be offering food (tapas and such) until later, but they will be showcasing their "new mixology program designed by mixologist John Lemayer, the man behind the cocktail programs at Miami's Blackbird Ordinary, the Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale Hotel in South Beach". Stevens is going for the "classic speakeasy" feel, "with leather highback chairs, tufted sofas, exposed brick walls, and, obviously, no visible sign on the exterior". Along with "prohibition-style drinks like whiskey-based manhattans", they'll also be providing nightly entertainment in the form of vaudeville, cabaret, art shows and more.
