Coral Gables' Uncle Tom's Barbecue has closed, but they plan to reopen, according to their Facebook. Short Order reports the spot that "first opened in 1948", was located in a building apparently "deemed unsafe". They noticed, along with a banner stating that "the restaurant was renovating", a notice issued by Miami-Dade county to vacate, "a series of violations were also listed". More info here. [SO]
