Meet Imperia, the newest restaurant and lounge to hit Downtown's dining/nightlife scene. The restaurant, owned by a woman named Galina Tokareva, who calls Imperia, "the wicked queen of savior faire," boasts an organic, healthy garden, exterior lounging and two floors - with a total of 220 seats -to play on. Open for lunch and dinner, the eatery also offers a "Healthy Garden and Market" at the backside entrance, where guests can order from an all-organic menu during lunch and early dinner hours.

ChefCarlosNavarez_ImperiaRestaurant.jpgBehind the menu, which is focused on international, tropical flavors and fresh ingredients, is chef Carlos Navarez. Navarez earned his culinary chops at Flying Food Group and then went on to work with Peter Luger Steakhouse, David Burke & Donatella, Blue Water Grill and, most recently, DeVito's Restaurant, before joining Imperia Restaurant and Lounge.

The restaurant is scheduled to celebrate its grand opening on Friday, January 31 at 6 p.m.
