Keeping things fresh, Sushi Samba Coral Gables has recruited executive chef David Sears, who joins the Samba Management team with 15 years of experience and a penchant for creative dishes.
Sears, most recently of Temple Orange at the Ritz-Carlton West Palm Beach, has held positions at various highly regarded restaurants across the country including Café MoZu at Mandarin Oriental in Washington DC and Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Orlando.
Along with his appointment comes a new lunch menu with small plates ($14-17), large plates ($14-20) and bentos ($14-$19) available. Highlights include chicken teriyaki, roasted cauliflower and a Churrasco sandwich. No info yet on where former Sushi Samba chef, Brian Nasajon, is headed next.
