After opening Michael Mina 74 just weeks ago, Michael Mina will be unveiling his second Fontainebleau restaurant where Gotham Steak (which is due to close) now stands. Food Republic reports that the new spot, a Japanese Steakhouse, is called Natsusteak and is supposedly opening fall 2014. The blog also quotes Mina saying, "You'll have dishes like you'd find in a traditional steakhouse, similar to Bourbon Steak, but there will be a lot of influences and inspirations from Japan … and it will really be American and Japanese and nothing else." A good source tells us Mina is indeed taking over Alfred Portale's Gotham Steak, but confirms nothing else as of yet, so stay tuned for more details.
