When one bar door closes, another one opens. So it is with Hush Bar & Lounge (1661 Pennsylvania Ave, Miami Beach) a new spot taking over the space that was most recently, and very briefly, Kris Wessel's A.I.R.
No word on opening dates or many other details for that matter, but a good source tells us the lounge will be a "mix of Bardot, Foxhole, Wynwood" that'll be open from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. As for who's behind the new project, it's ex Waxy's owner Adrian Najara and nightlife vet Bobby Brandt.
Hush will have a small menu once they open, but they'll be much more booze oriented. So far their weekly offerings include "open format Fridays and Saturdays, old-school hip hop and funk on Thursdays" with more events to follow in the future. And though they will have some craft cocktails, the main focus will be on craft beers, bottle service and typical bar offerings. As our source says, "nothing crazy."
*Update: The official opening date is this Friday at 8 p.m.
